This could be
the only book you need to prepare for the TEAS exam. Each
chapter contains two practice tests covering all of the basic
concepts needed for nursing school. You can take the practice
tests to see where you need the most help. Then spend more time on
those issues. TEAS
consists of English, Reading, Math and Science. The most difficult
sections for most people are usually the Reading and Math
sections. The test focuses on math problems such as decimals,
percentages, Fahrenheit/Celsius, KGs/LBs and fractions. Know
about graphs and charts, and how to calculate the areas of circle,
triangles, cubes, squares. Know your Pythagorean theorem,
comparing fractions and simple percentages of numbers. In
the sciences, for Chemistry study sub-atomic particles, isotopes,
acids and bonding. Know Mendeleev's Table and some common element
symbols. Know
how to calculate speeds, mode, electricity, mode, the definition
of melting and evaporation. Know
some basic anatomy like the stomach and trachea. Know your
directions, North, South, East, West. Memorize
some of the definitions in the book, lik what "autotropism"
is. Read
